This year's Double 11 is different from previous years. The "old for new" subsidy policy launched by the state has made the discount of home appliances unprecedented, further activating the market consumption potential. aRtesmc

Against this background, the TV market has become the focus of attention. The government's "old for new" policy subsidy ratio for home appliances can enjoy a maximum discount of 20%, and the upper limit of the single subsidy is 2,000 yuan. This policy has significantly increased the sales volume of TV products and will also promote the development of new TV display technologies such as Mini LED and OLED.

Among them, Mini LED TVs have significantly improved picture quality and color performance compared with traditional TVs, especially in contrast and brightness, and can provide a better viewing experience. Under the trend of large-size TV development, the application of Mini LED technology has enabled large-screen TVs to not only meet the needs of consumers in terms of size, but also ensure a higher enjoyment in picture quality. The above factors are important reasons why Mini LED TVs are becoming more and more popular in the market. aRtesmc

According to TrendForce's "2024 Mini LED New Backlight Display Trend Analysis Report" (Learn the Report>), in the first half of 2024, TV brands will face challenges such as panel price increases and freight increases. In order to improve revenue, manufacturers such as TCL, Xiaomi and Chinese brands such as Hisense have reduced the number of Mini LED partitions to attract consumers at more competitive prices. This strategy has successfully stimulated market demand, and it is expected that the annual shipment of Mini LED TVs will increase by 55% year-on-year to 6.35 million units.

A total of about 50 new Mini LED TVs will be released in 2024aRtesmc

According to incomplete statistics from LEDinside, a total of about 50 new Mini LED TVs will be launched in 2024, and TV manufacturers include Konka, TCL, Changhong, Hisense, Skyworth, Huawei, Xiaomi, Sony, Samsung, Philips and many other brands.

The new Mini LED TVs released this year not only cover common sizes such as 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches, but also launched ultra-large size options of 100 and 110 inches. This move is designed to meet the needs of different consumers, whether they are home theater enthusiasts or users who pursue an immersive viewing experience, they can find a screen size that suits them.

Konka's A8, A8 Pro and M7 models, Skyworth's A5D Pro and A7E Pro, Coocaa's K6, Hisense's E8N Pro and E5N Pro, Hisense Vidda's X Ultra, Xiaomi's S Pro series and Toshiba's Z700NF all offer 100-inch ultra-large screen options. aRtesmc

In addition, Hisense's recently released Club World Cup official customized AI MiniLED TV size is as high as 110 inches. Konka's A8 Ultra and A8 Pro, as well as Hisense's UX series, also offer 110-inch options.

It is worth mentioning that this year, AI technology has flourished, and Mini LED TV models from brands such as Konka, TCL, Thunderbird, Hisense, Changhong, Vidda, Sony and Samsung have integrated AI technology, further enhancing the user experience.

Hisense released the 110-inch Club World Cup official customized AI MiniLED TV UX on October 30. The TV relies on the newly upgraded ULEDAI picture quality platform and combines the Xinxin AI picture quality chip to achieve full-link AI picture quality processing, from scene understanding to algorithm matching, and then to driver rendering, ensuring that users can enjoy ultra-high picture quality experience in various environments.

Changhong officially launched the world's first AI TV Q10T Max on September 23. In terms of picture quality, it is equipped with Yunfan AI image quality large model and AI Mini LED optical system, with 2400nits brightness.

Of course, in addition to common features such as large size and AI, companies such as TCL, Hisense and Samsung have their own characteristics in Mini LED backlight design. Take TCL as an example. Its QD-Mini LED display technology allows each lamp bead chip to be independently controlled to achieve precise hardware dimming, which not only effectively avoids light leakage in the picture, but also significantly improves dynamic contrast. In addition, the combination of a large number of lamp bead chips and quantum dot technology makes the brightness and color gamut performance even better.

These innovations not only improve the user experience, but also drive market growth. On October 23, TCL Electronic Holdings Co., Ltd. announced the global shipment data of TV products for the first three quarters of 2024. Among them, in terms of mid-to-high-end products, TCL's quantum dot TV and Mini LED TV shipments increased by 61.1% and 162.8% year-on-year, respectively.
